Firefox. Hijacked google, now 3 scroll bars
I am at the end of my rope. At first (This happens with both IE and firefox BTW) when I went to google, I was redirected to some advertising site. After searched for a solution for that, I deleted asksearch.js. Well, now I can use google.. but when I load the page, it loads google, and then keeps loading other pages, but doesn't display them. (yeildmanager.edgusuite.something, qualityaff.info and other similar websites) but don't display them, just displays the google main page (or is it? when I go to it on another computer, the "google" graphic is different) When I search for something, 2 more scroll bars appear beside the first. I have tried superantispyware, and the microsoft malware removal problem with no luck. TUT reports no tasks running that it doesn't know, that are suspicious. I have considered the hammer method, but unsure that would not cause more problems then solve. Can anyone help?

Please click here to download and install the HijackThis installer.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

Do not fix anything

You have enough unnecessary programs and add-ons installed in that computer.

Most of the programs and services that you have loading during startup and running in the background don't need to be doing so.

When was the last time that you updated Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware and ran a "quick scan" with them and allowed them to fix EVERYTHING they found?

You're using uTorrent, so it's a good possibility that computer has infections and/or malware.

Since AVG is your antivirus program, you should upgrade it from version 8.0/8.5 to version 9.0.698

Right after this happened. Superantispyware detected no threats. So there was nothing to remove. And telling me there are "enough unnecessary programs running" doesn't fix the problem. Do you have any idea what is hijacking these settings?

UPDATE
Well, I reset the computer, and managed to get rid of all the other scroll bars, only to have it, and the only way to describe it, pop windows on top of each other. I uninstalled and re-installed firefox and now those "windows" are no longer there, but still when I go to www.google.com it loads what appears to be a google page, but my other computer shows a diffrent graphic for the google logo. In addition, some links don't work, such as "login" and "gmail" In addition, when I do a search, the address doesn't change. Its always www.google.com Also when I initally load the google page, the bottom right, where it tells you what its contacting, and downloading from, access about 5 different, and always changing websites, but I still get this "google" page. Thats the update.

Yes. This seems like it is a very troublesome problem. i always find it better to have as many minds working on it as possible. It is not often I encounter any computer problem myself that I cannot resolve from my own personal knowledge, or from searching the net. I shall ask this thread me moved to the malware section, as you suggested.
