Google links being hijacked...I think
When I click on links of search results from google, and I think in other instances too, i get a tab or new browser opening up that is going to some website called avabon.com. I did a search of that website and I came up with a similar, I believe almost exact same thread about this problem here on your site.

that thread:
http://forums.techguy.org/malware-re...-hijacked.html

If anyone can reccomend the program to use to get rid of this or provide instructions as how to do it I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

I am posting this thread in here as per a user's instructions in the other thread and i downloaded Hijackthis and ran a system scan and made a log file, here it is:

As added information, this has never happened before, but today i plugged in my phone to do some updating and NOD32 popped up with a threatmessage...I had started a thread on NOKIA's forums, hoping to get an answer there...and I am starting to believe that these two evens are linked somehow.

Here is that thread over at NokiaL

http://discussions.nokiausa.com/disc...read.id=176047

also, here is a screenshot of ESET NOD32s logfile detailing how this thing keeps on trying to do something

Rereading a post by Phantom010 on that other thread...he recomended getting Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SuperAntiSpyware

Will installing, and using both of these programs essentially get rid of this problem? If so, just let me know and I will do that. I couldnt find any posts on that thread that said the problem was resolved.

After running malwarebytes, restarting, then runnin HJT, I installed SUPERAntiSpyare ran a full scan, and it came up with 11 tracking cookies and 4 trojan instances. Here is the log file it generated. I will post up another HJT log file after i do a restart

I am only performing these steps because they were reccomended from the similar situation on the other thread i mention in my first post. I dont know if all of these logs will be helpful in determining if my PC is COMPLETELY clean, but I hope someone will find them useful if they decide to chime in.

Thanks again

Bump for a guy desperately in need of advice.

I am leery of attempting to do anything else to my comp seeing as in the past, taking action without counsel has led me to trouble.

I am coming closer to being resigned to simply reformating my hard drive and reinstalling windows...but now im worried that intances of this malware will still be on my phone and removable media, does anyone know of a way to search and remove such things?
