Hi Bob. Whenever you want to visit with me, you just click on the link at the bottom right hand corner of this post that says "view conversation"...whatever you write in this box will show up in my visitor messages on my profile page. And whatever I post to you will show up on your profile page. Each person has their own "view conversation" link and each conversation is different but when viewing my profile, all you will see is other people's replies to me....you dont get to see my replies to them unless you view the conversation. For instance, on Ben's page, you see my replies and on my page, you see his..but you dont see them a back and forth conversation until you click on "view conversation" in one of the replies. Understand how it works now?

Later on, if either one of us wants to review our entire ongoing conversation, all we have to do is click on "view conversation" and it will all be on one page...which is nicer than pm's, where each reply is in a new pm of its own...thats why visitor messages are nice.

The downside of visitor messages (as opposed to pm's) is that anyone can see what we say to each other when they click on the "view conversation" link....so never say anything that you dont want the world to know, lol. Not that I think you would.

As far as email notifications....I dont get them..but as soon as I come to the site, there is a message at the upper right side of the screen that will say "user notifications"...it will show up in bold letters. When you click on that, it will tell you that you have a new message to view on your profile page.
