Mourning the loss of our friend, WhitPhil.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but they're the easiest to answer.

I'm having difficulty getting a sun or average when null fields are included. Say I have a table with childresn ages and I'm trying to find the average. The table has 6 fields (one for each childs age). Say an entry only has 3 kids. I can get the average of fields 1-3 but when fields 1-6 are averaged I get a blank entry (since the last 3 fields are null). Thanks again for your help.

OBP, You replied to a post I wrote a week ago and I am really interested in making contact with someone knowledgable of Access. Would it be possible to exchange emails and that way I can email you directly with questions about programming? If you wouldn't mind I would like to maybe even sen dyou my database when I'm having problems and see if you couldn't help me complete it. I appreciate it.
