Intel wireless sometimes comes with it's own wireless manager. I would check your start menu to see if there are any Intel programs in there that may be taking over the wireless manager. If so, you can use that. Typically third party wireless managers have better features and work better than the built in windows one.

I set the WZC to 'auto' and start now; but when I reboot, I have to do it all over again; the 'auto' doesn't re-start. Because of this, the 'allow windows to detect the connection' also doesn't start. I know this because after reboot I am not connected to my Linksys (noted in the taskbar). I have an Intel PROset Wireless. I don't get an error msg; it just doesn't stay connected. Thanks for reply. Rory
