I'm replying 6 months late, sorry. Never did get the firmware fixed. They sent me a replacement unit.

Hi there ebonyruffles, I noticed your question about .ruf files and upgrading your dvd firmware. I'm having the same problem trying to upgrade my Samsung HT-BD2. Any chance you could send me the answer to your question?
