I'm sorry I did not see this to answer but I cannot answer you anyway as I work in the industry and am a paid technician.This does sound like either a software conflict possibly caused by an update or a driver issue but please post it on the forum which benefits everyone.

I've read your posts you seem to know alot about Vista...my laptop will not power down completely on shutdown, instead it reboots and displays Recovered from Unexpected Shutdown Message. This only happens upon shutdown or in sleep mode. Any help or direction you can provide would be very appreciated! Thanks!
