- Expat American living in The Netherlands since 1968.
Was a high school math teacher (20 years) and then became an Oracle specialist (20 years, mostly DBA stuff including tuning DB and developers' SQL) and PL/SQL programmer). Versions 9i and 10g certified.
Have recently been retired due to company reorganization. Would like to find part-time (c. 24 hours a week) work in a development/test environment lending a helping hand to a team of Oracle DBAs needing some extra tuning skills, PL/SQL programming, or help with backup and recovery procedures etc.
Most Oracle experience is under Windows, several years with HP Unix, and a number of years under that defunct work-horse VMS.
Enjoy dabbling in Perl.
