Sorry, I didn't see this messsage here until now. Is this the case where liquid got in behind the front screen layer? If so, yes, that could grow for weeks and never come right again even if it dried out over the course of several months, since it could still leave a distasteful stain.

Thanks for your advice. But my eclipse didn't get smaller. In fact, it grew into a huge black ball and is still growing. The ring of light around it seems to be getting brighter too. Why's that?? Anybody?? Thanks.
