Yes, this is a BAD problem, right now you cannot be certain that any website you visit is in fact the one you wanted to go to, because the DNS server (which is in the Ukraine) can send you anywhere (even a phishing look-alike site)
I also had a similar problem through DNS redirects, and I could not get to Windows Update (it would send me to www.msn.com)
I tried a few things, none helped (even using hijackthis in safe mode)
What did cure the redirects for me was to redownload my ethernet drivers for my NIC, and then uninstall the NIC currently in use. (Uninstall from Device Manager, if there is no uninstall in add/remove programs)
I then installed the freshly downloaded drivers, and the offending "017" entries were gone.
But my problem was not totally gone yet, I still was showing that DNS server in the Ukraine when I would do a "ipconfig /all"
I went into my Linksys router (which still had the default password, stupid me!) and went to the setup page, and lo and behold, somehow this virus or malware or whatever it was had manually entered the DNS entries for the Ukraine!
I removed them, and rebooted the router, and now, the redirects were gone, and I could once again get to Windows Update. (Never thought I would be so happy to see Uncle Bill's Domain!)
Hope this helps......
(PS..make sure you have the new correct drivers on hand, as you will not be able to get them once you uninstall your NIC)
