    hello i'm new to windows vista i just got a dell inspiron 530 and i've been trying to download aim & yahoo messenger and i can't get them to work do you have a solution to my problem

    Yes you are right, But I will advise you not make a multiboot as it might crash down.
    Vista and XP not work with each other. I have already tried that.
    Just install XP over the Vista on same Hard Drive after a quick format.

    Welcome to the group! I've been trying to get rid of Vista, or at least dual boot it with XP. There are lots of little differences with Vista that make no sense to me. why did they make us add extra clicks just to change a wallpaper? By trying to simplify it, they have actually complicated it.
