I had a similar problem with Outlook but the thread you started was closed so here is my solution: I found the outlook.exe icon in c:\program files\microsoft office\office11 and then right-clicked it and selected properties. Select the Compatibility tab. Make sure it is not running in compatibility mode and that none of the display settings are checked. That was it for me. Hope this helps.

I have exactly this question you had in December. Sadly, I know almost nothing about computers, only how to write email! But today I'm stuck because I can't close Word due to a document I was trying to send through the Word program and I don't know how to switch to the New Message. Can you help or did someone send you a helpful message? I'm new to this site.
