    hey i asked a question about java remember? I tried going to the site and downloaded the zip and ran javara and it still doesn't work. I thought it could be possibly because I didn't actually install the javarun time environment, but I have no idea.
    I clicked "remove older versions" and clicked ok ok but I can't find the JavaRA.log that's supposedly on my C drive. The log file also doesn't open when i click 'ok' to 'javaRA will now open its logfile.

    Thanks so much for your help. I tried the drop down menu as you suggested and after a bit of messing around, found a slot for "close side bar." That's all it took. My incredible shrinking desktop is back to normal.
