I'm actually legally blind without corrective lenses. I've had three detached retinas as a result of Stickler Syndrome. I just happen to find black text on a light background easier to read than on a blue one. Just give the new site a chance before you jump to conclusions.

young people never thing about old peoples .but you will get old then your eyes will get like us .haft blind then it will be really hard for you to read .just like me .64 years old

Tons of work in overhauling the site - very interesting (I'm old, but I'll adapt!)
However, in the thread tools, there no longer seems to be an option to mark a thread as "Solved."
