You don't need a driver for USB FLASH drives on ME/2K/XP/Vista. Also, USB FLASH disks default to "optimize for quick removal", so if you wait until the activity light stops flashing, you can just remove it. You can also use the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the task bar to stop the device.

To load info to a flash drive, just plug it into the USB port. A folder should come up, or a dialog box asking you how you want it to show from now on (if so, then choose to have it open in folders using Windows Explorer). Once you have the window for the folders open, you can create folders for your content (naming them however you want).

Once you have your folders set up, you can either download stuff from the internet to it by right clicking on the content and choosing to "save as" and browse to the flash drive. This will generally be something like the "E" drive or the "F" drive in your browse window and then find the correct folder.

Or, if the content is already saved to your computer, then you can do it in a couple of ways. You can highlight your content and in the left pane choose the option to either move the file or copy the file (whichever you want at the time) and in the little window that pops up, browse to the flash drive and then correct folder and highlight it and click on "copy" or "move." Or, you can open the file that the content is in, and pull the edges of that window in until it is somewhat small, then open the folder in the flash drive that you want to put it in, also making that one small, so that you can see both folders simultaneously. Then, drag and drop the content folder to the flash drive folder.

Also, just a tip.........typing in all capital letters, on forums such like this, is considered yelling or shouting at people.

flash driver
Sorry (I didn't know) about the caps and yelling....Nothing comes up on the screen telling me its recognizing it. when I go to "my computer" it is there in the list at the bottom. Not in a lettered drive. which doesn't sound right. does it? Thanks

Treat the drive just like any other disk drive, you can copy and delete files freely to/from it.

If nothing pops up when you plug it in, you can go to "My Computer" and double click on the flash drive. That will open that drive (which should be empty of files and folders if you have not transferred anything to it yet). You can then set up new folders and name them, and then proceed as I've described above to transfer things to it.

I have copied alot of games in my flash driver. now if I erase them in my computer can I load them back if I so desire? also to access these games do I need the internet if they are in my c/ drive? My black game page seems to be gone for now...don't know what I did to get rid of it...so it will probably be back?

Let me explain the concept of backup. If you only have one copy of data of any kind, and that copy gets corrupted, it's gone! If these are important to you, I'd have two copies of them.

Yes, you can load them back onto your computer from your Flash Drive.

Depends on the game.

Don't know about that one, sorry.
