Question Cleaning a CRT
I used to use windex but noticed that there is some kinda film on these new CRT's and the windex removes it.

So I looked up Samsungs websight and they recommend THIS ..http://www.samsung.com/us/support/po...uide_step_no=3

It seems to make it worse to me

A clean damp T-Shirt with nothing but alittle water is what I normaly use.

Has anyone had any good results with this product or is it just a waste of money?

I'm debating on returning it.

Thanks
David

Remember that a CRT and an LCD are two VERY different animals. For a CRT, it's just glass cleaner, since you're really just cleaning a window. For LCD displays, I use a mixture of 25% alcohol and 75% water and a soft cloth. NEVER USE PAPER PRODUCTS TO CLEAN AN LCD SCREEN! They will scratch the soft surface.

like JW when I was using CRT's I just cleaned them with window cleaner
now that I'm using an LCD I clean with eyeglass cleaner that is safe for coated lenses (I wear glasses and have it on hand) and a microfiber cloth.
