What is a safe free Weather/Temp. program to install ?
I have been told not to use WeatherBug.

If you use Firefox, get the add-on Forecastfox, it'll display right in the status bar.

Does this program also give you local alerts ?

The discussion on it looks like it has unresolved problems .
Do you use it ? Any problems ?

It works fine. With any software there are occasional bugs and the author had lost his bug database and was just asking people to report bugs. I haven't had any problems with it.
