Syncing HP Pocket PC on Dell 8400 XP
Switched From Windows 98 SE to Windows XP. Worked fine on Windows 98. With XP I first get the message " You must provide the name of your Microsoft Exchange Server and Mailbox." I don't have a Microsoft Exchange Server and I don't understand what this means.

Then a new message comes up. " Synchronization cannot be completed because your personal information manager (PIM) program cannot be accessed. Ensure you PIM program is running, and try to synchronize again. If your PIM program is running, restart your desktop computer."

I don't use a PIM and I'm not sure what they are talking about. Would appreciate any help you could give. Thanks.

Your Ipaq is trying to Sync with Microsoft Outlook. Also when you connect your Pocket PC to your computer and ActiveSync opens, go to TOOLS and then OPTIONS and uncheck "Enable synchronization with a server"
