Question pc to tv
I was wandering if there is any kind of cable or something that i can use to connect my pc to a tv without using having to have an s video thing in my pc. it has a spot for one but when i bought the laptop I didn't have it installed. Is there like a USB cord that has two or three things on the end to hook to the tv. Or am i just out of luck and have to get the s-video thing.

Approx how much would each cost.

I also have a VGA hook up on my laptop that works. is there a cable that would work with that. I have a ppt game that i would like to play with my class at church and we have no projection system.

Can anyone help!!!!!

I believe that those types of inexpensive cables are only designed to work with video controllers that specifically have the ability to switch the signals on the VGA connector from separate analog Red, Green, and Blue to composite video and/or S-Video. The product description in the linked page mentions this:
NOTE: Note Though this adapter works with most video cards, some video cards do not support this adapter.
If there is no mention in the computer's or graphic card's documentation of supporting TV signals out of the VGA connector, there is a very good chance they are not supported.
