wireless camera
Recently I have obtained a 2.4 gigahertz wireless surveillance camera, but not the required wireless monitor. So I was wondering, can I display the video from the camera on my computer through my 2.4 gigahertz wireless card? If yes how?

any help would be appreciated.

A big help here would be the exact type of interface used for the camera. Is it an 802.11b/g/n interface, or a proprietary interface to their monitor? If it's the latter, you're probably out of luck.

Also - if you have a 2.4 GHz wireless network set up with your PC you may run into a problem. (I speak from experience and had to switch my surveillance to a 900).

Hope that helps.

No, 2.4 gigahertz wireless surveillance system is analog modulation. It isn`t common with WLAN. You need camera with WLAN interface, or IP camera.

Not all of them, I've seen several 802.11g based systems. That's why I asked for specifics.
