Buying a new HDTV-I need help!
Would it be better to get a 1080P tv with 2000:1 contrast ratio or would it be better to go with a 720P tv with either 8000:1 or 15000:1 contrast ratio? I use it for console gaming(PS3/Wii) and also watch quite a few movies. Any input on my issue would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Well, I'd be looking to get one with the fastest response time if gaming is it's primary mission. We have a 720P plasma and a 1080P LCD, both look great for TV, and I'm not a gamer.

The problem with your request is that it's a very subjective question. Only you can determine if the contrast ratio is good. I'd be looking at the sets you are considering in a showroom somewhere to compare the differences.
