Laptop to Laptop direct connection
My LCD is destroyed (still lights up but is illegible) and I need to connect my computer to another monitor. (So that I can operate my computer using the other monitor.) I successfully connected my laptop to a desktop monitor, but when I try to connect it to another laptop, the displays remain unconnected. I have a Dell Inspiron B130 and I need to connect to a Toshiba Satellite (both operate on Windows XP). Any ideas?

Connecting two computers directly requires various settings to be configured on each computer. Pretty hard to do if you can't see anything. An external monitor is what you need.
