Hookin' Up Help needed!!!
I am a girl that disconnected my bf's tv system and didn't make any notes to put it back together. We have a TV, dish, surround sound, and a dvd/vcr combo that we can't out back together to make it all work.
Is there some out there that can help me with this so we can go on with the day???
Please....

There are many ways to connect all the components, and it will depend on the exact connections available from each of the units. You'd need to supply way more information.

Do you use the VCR to record, or just to play pre-recorded tapes? What's the output of the dish receiver? Is this HDTV or standard TV? What are the EXACT make/model of all the units? What are the EXACT inputs and outputs on each of the devices?

There are the start of the things you need to know to connect them up.

Having this information is critical since manuals can be downloaded so we can see the inputs and outputs in question. Also Jenn14, do you have the manuals for the components you need to connect? The TV manual would be the most important to have since it would have diagrams of how to connect each component.

My last word of advice is for you and your boyfriend to get a BIG cup of your favorite beverage and connect each component ONE AT A TIME and test it to make sure it works. This will save you grief and confusion. You could also take this opportunity to label cables and get the "spaghetti" organized a bit.

Good luck!

Peace...
