Solved: AVI File Error
Hey guys, I have a problem with my .avi files. Whenever I click them, I would get this box that pops up that says "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Anyone ever have this and does anyone know what I can do to fix this error? Thanks

Go To Start > Run > regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll

You Should Get A Message Like This

---------------------------
RegSvr32
---------------------------
DllUnregisterServer in shmedia.dll succeeded.
---------------------------
OK

shmedia.dll --> Media File Property Extractor Shell Extension

regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll --> Unregistering 'shmedia.dll' Stops Windows indexing your 'mediafiles' while you are browsing your folders.
