Solved: Upgrade to HDMI?
I bought a new monitor recently. HP w2207h
it has a VGA and an HDMI input
my computer has VGA and i have an older xbox 360 so it does not have the HDMI port it
so I bought the 360 VGA cable and it works fine with the monitor but I can only have one plugged in at a time. So i've been manually plugging and unplugging it.
I was looking at KVM switches and i dont want to spend too much but don't want to lose video quality.
I also thought of maybe buying a new video card that supports HDMI since it would be cheaper than buying a new Xbox with HDMI.
Any thoughts on a good but affordable KVM solution or HDMI video card?

You can get a KVM pretty cheaply, and connecting both connections to the monitor will confuse it if they're both active. It will typically just choose one.

thanks for the response
I was checking out newegg for some and they have one that does the VGA only for about 14 bucks.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817196027
and for a couple more bucks
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817707101
just worrying about losing video quality with them since they are really cheap
it won't be worth it if i lose out on the 360's graphics
and most i've seen have had switches that allow u to choose which source its coming from so i dont think there will be much issue about it being confused what source i'd like to use
any opinions?

One of those should do the trick. Just use good quality VGA cables.
