Replacing 'the Plug'
And nooo we're not reffering to a buttplug!

No seriously, I bought a Wii in the UK - cause they were all out here in Continental Europe.
Now ofcourse the UK-version has 'british plug' like this:

So I need to replace the head into this one:

So for what I understand I only have to replace the top-bit obviously - voltages are no problem since the adapter can handle 230V and we use 220V out here so that's all fine and good.

But I just wanted to make sure - do you guys think I should bare anything in mind?
Or can I just like I simply stated 'cut off' the Brits-head and 'attach' a Continental-European plug onto it? (thus creating my own FRANKENSTEIN!!)

Thanks in advance guys!

That's the original plug as it is now.

Since the Wii doesn't have a ground, you ignore the ground connection. However, I'd just get the correct adapter and convert that plug to the UK version. I have a set of converters for travel in Europe that convert between most country's standards, they were only a couple of bucks each.

Well I replaced it and she works like a dream.
I didn't have to connect the earthwire because to my own surprise there wasn't one in there.

So anyway! Thanks for your reply and helping me out!
