Sony DVD/ VHS combo problem
We have a fairly new Sony DVD/ VHS player that we are having problems with. All the cable connections are ok since we watch tv through it when the sony is off and also when it is on and in tv mode, the picture if clear and normal. We have had this unit for about a year with no problems. Now when in DVD or VHS mode the picture is distorted and switches back to normal for about 3 seconds then goes to severely distored for about 30 seconds. When distored it looks like when your player is set to play on chanel 3 but you your tv is on channel for you get some bleed through of the picture, but cannot see it. This all started about 2 weeks ago when I accidentally hit a button on the remote trying to start a movie for my son. I have no idea what button it was but itchanged the picture in the tv and said line 1. I have gone through the entire owners manual to no luck. I have went thru all the settings that I could figure out to change. I am at a total loss. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks. How do you have the SLV-D370P connected to your TV, _exactly_? Are you using S-Video and composite video connections or just one of those? If just one, which one? How many video inputs does your TV have? What is the make/model of your TV?

Peace...
