Dell Dj (gen 2) Transfer issues.
I have the Dell Dj 20 or 30 gig mp3 player and recently I have been having problems transfering tracks and retrieving data files. I didn't know if it was corruption or a virus or what, but one day I could not move a program from the dell dj onto my desktop. Later I purchased a Velvet Revolver album and could not transfer it onto the dj. The device "freezes" where the symbol that shows transfers in progress darkens, and stays that way. I get error messages like "File cannot be written" and "An unknown error has occured and the transfer was not successful. Funny thing is "sometimes" i can transfer a few files, before it decides to stop again...so out of 2,000 of songs, i have about 70 right now.

I have tried uninstalling the deubox explorer and reinstalling and the same with the dell dj explorer. I have tried re-installing and uninstalling the dell dj's firmware and even formatted the thing, losing all of my music and data files...yeah...

Does anyone , ANYONE have any idea where i should even begin??

Recent changes include the purchase of the Deubox Explorer from Red Chair Software. I run the latest firmware on the DJ, but not the "plays-for-sure". The Computer is running windows XP.
