XLR adapter
Hi,

I have a problem. I ran a microphone cable backwards at church. I have the female end at the podium and the male end at the sound box. It should be the other way around. I can fix the problem at the podium where the microphone is located. But, at the sound box, in order to change the connector over to a female connection, it will require extending the cable connection, which will be too long, and consequently not allow us to close the door on the sound box! The simple solution would be to rerun the cables and have the correct ends in the proper location. But...the cables are hung up in an area of crawl space in the attic that can not be accessed!! I need to find a right angle XLR connector that has a male on both ends. All I have found so far is a right angle XLR male connection that you replace your existing connection with (at the sound box). I do not know how to do that. I have never taken a cable apart before.

Does anyone know if they make the adapter I need.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You could cut off the connectors and put them on the correct ends of the cable...

I have found adapters for the ends at the microphone. I will need to change out the female connections at the sound box. I bought 2 right angle XLR connections. Now I have to figure out how to match up the wires with the new adapter.
