Japan Trip
I am planning on travel from the USA to Japan in two weeks for business.

So far I have learned my cell phone won't work there. I need a G3 phone instead of GSM. I guess I will talk with my employer about that tomorrow.

Also learned I need to notify my credit card companies that there will be large amounts charged daily to my card in Japan, so they dont think my card is stolen. Done that.

Is there anything else from USA that doesn't work in Japan? Will my laptop WI-FI work there? And will the USA laptop AC adapter plug in without an adapter?

I may tell my employer I am not going if this is going to cost me money.

The power adapter for your laptop will show what voltage it will work on.

If it is a "world voltage" one (which many are) it will be 100-240 volts.

Japan is 100 volts. Just cheecked a couple here, both are. It's plainly printed on the power adapter block. You may then need a physical adapter for the plug, but they are just a few dollars.
