Huge subject - difficult to pare down to readable/understandable stuff. I have set up a PC to run with a HD projector (109" screen) and it is awesome, You need to work out how much you want to spend - huge difference in price between DLP and projectors (projectors - low initial outlay - but expensive lamp replacements!!!! - none of that with DLP , although each pixel equates to a single digital mirror - leaves a few concerns on reliability.) Try following link - should shed some light on the subject for you....

The site has a load of different perspectives and detail that will guide you in your choice.

I am looking between 3,000-4,000 dollars....not sure which i could get better for my buck. Is 1080i or 1080p better?
I found this DLP... http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?catg=8306 not sure if it is any good...

as for a Projector...after reading your link, i think i would rather a DLP because i do a lot of gaming and watching movies...and don't really want to have to be replacing the bulb that often(especially with the price) Thanks!

1080i and p......if you are watching movies on a Blu-Ray then you're getting 24 frames/second and with a standard refresh rate in the US of 60 hz (60 times per second) - I frankly don't think you'd spot the difference. For gaming however....progressive becomes the Boss. Again rather than cluttering Tech Guys' server - follow the link which would get you more info......

I read the link which is why i decided for a DLP...my question was if anyone thought the DLP I had picked out was good? I just wanted a second Opinion.

From what I've seen, I'd lean to the DLP too. I seriously considered one of those, but ended up getting a plasma. The DLP display looked very good.
