Question Impossible to save AVI file to disc
Hi all,

My system is WIN XP

I routinely save AVI files to disc, CD-R or DVD and, until now, never had any problem.

Recently, however, I stumbled on 3 AVI files that steadfastly refuse to be copied to a disc. I use Sonic to burn my files.

I tried to convert them to DVD format and burn them with Sothink: again impossible.
Adequate storage space was not a problem. In the case of the attempted DVD conversion with Sothink, I don't believe that a missing codec was the problem, nor was an excessive size.

Does anybody have a suggestions? Thanks in advance

It's not clear... Are you trying to copy/paste AVI files into CD/DVD, or you're trying to burn them into DVD format?

Are you receiving an error when trying to burn to disk? Are you able to play these AVI's to verify that they are not corrupt? Have you verified that your burner is functioning properly by burning other files of similar format? Have you tried a different disk? More details please!!

Rollin
