Hi Def Drive info needed
A few months ago we bought a new 1080p screen and went with the Satellite dish too take advantage of the higher quality picture of Hi-Definition.
We bought a DVD player which up scales but the quality was NOT as good as expected (ya I know what was I thinking when the price was $30.00 bucks)
So we need a DVD player, just found out Blu-Ray is in & Hi-Def is out, I got a e-flyer offering a blu-ray writer/player drive for our computer for 139.00 a lot less than almost $350.00 - $500.00 for one their asking for them in the stores as a stand alone. Although not poor the stand alone in a lot of money compared too the drive for the computer.

How & what is every one else doing for a DVD player that plays hi def & blu-ray discs?
I am really not sure what to purchase or which way to go either stand alone or a drive for the computer?
You input would be greatly appreciated,
Moe in Ontario

Well, if you put the Blu-Ray player in the computer, you have to have a computer to play anything on it.

You got the 1080p, you got the satellite, now get the PS3 and complete that home theater.
