mp600 alarm '6000'
Unbievalbe, only just got rid of alarm '6A00' on my Canon MP600 printer.( Engineer paid 4 visits and then took printer away for 4 weeks) Now I have alarm '6000' on screen and Canon want £80 +vat just for a call out. Then theres parts and labour to be added as it is 6 months out of warranty. Anybody know what I can do please. Suggestions welcome

Cut your losses and buy a new one? You have already paid around 1/2 the cost of a new one...

Cheers Kiwiguy but we have something called the Sale of Goods act here which I might persue.

We have the Consumer Guarantees Act here, somewhat similar. It depends how old the printer is at the end of the day, but if its no more than a couple of years or so, I would be going that way as well.

Presently preparing an affidavit for a QC and will be appearing in the High Court for a declaratory judgement on aspects of the CGA.

Cheers Kiwiguy, I'm taking ig along those lines as it 16 months old so I feel I have to have a go. Cheers Mate.
