Hello there! Welcome to TSG!

I did a little looking, and found one link that may be of help:

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1450

Is your battery charging OK?

it charges ok but the itunes recognizes it now, but it asks to restore and when I try to do that this error comes out "the ipod could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1439). I have tried all the things that are suggested in the apple help page, so what im asking is if anybody has some other ways to fix this

I'm afraid I won't be much more help on this thing. If all else fails, I would make an appointment at the nearest Apple store to see if they can do anything.
