Audio Distortion from laptop -> TV.

Hey there.

I hook my laptop to my plama television to watch movies.

S-Video cable for video & 3.5 Headphone jack to RCA cables for Audio.

When I watch an .avi movie everything is perfect.

However, when I watch either a DVD in drive or DVD mounted image the audio sounds like crap. There is some background hissing that drives me mental.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
