Just looking for opinions from techie folks.

Is there an advantage to going with the Google Chrome?
Disatvantage?

Just not sure if its worth the time and effort.

Thanks.

its fast
its easy
But it doesnt have the customization that firefox has.
If you use internet explorer just for basic web surfing, then chrome is a good choce.
It dont hurt to try it you can always remove it later

And I'm not crazy about Fire Fox. Nothing specific, just not finding anything that really differentiates from IE.

I'll play with it a couple days and see.
I appreciate your in-put.

For whats its worth IE8 has improved security now.however alot of people do run into problems after installing,I had no problems with 3 installs of ie8
I think what is going on is if the machine already has problems an ie8 install can go bad

Or some folks say, "Ohhhhhhh, its NEW.... and install it on a system that can't handle it." I've done tech work for a while, and always laugh at people who install 3 or 4 virus protection programs, and then have more conflicts than ever before.

From my experience I can say that chrome is much faster than most browser such as firefox.
However, I dislike using Chrome as I cant customise the layout and relate it to my feel. Furthermore, Chrome provides no add-ons unlike firefox.
Some add-ons are; adblocker, greasemonkey, flagfox, bugmenot, flashgot etc etc.
You get the point

So it would seem that while its not a bad browser, and its quick... it's limitations make more for the casual user. Is that a fair assessment?
