Unhappy Component AV Cable
Ok so i have movies and audio working on my SONY HD TV (BRAVIA) with the receiver also being SONY, of coarse, and i have the movies showing off of my IpodTouch. After allot of trail and error i finally found that i need to plug my AV cable in my reciver and not DVD or the back of my TV... its pluged in (video 1) for picture and (phono) for audio, that seems to work for my touch 32G.

Now the problem is my ipod 80G (the oldish one)... ive made it work on one of my friend's cables at his house with different cable and different TV, but i know it should be pretty easy on my TV because i know the settings required on my ipod and because ive managed to do it successfully on my touch, but for some reason when i do it with my ipod, only the audio seems to work.

ive tried different videos, different channels, different settings on my ipod, but i know that the (video 1) chanel and hookup is right because i can heat the audio...just no picture...any advice?

I can not remember on what iPod but some used to have a funky connector that the 1/8th inch cable would have to be extra long to work. Do you have a dock that actually uses the iPod usb port and you can connect cables to that?

yes, it is the brand new apple AV cable with usb connector, dock connector, x2 audio connector, x3 video connector, and the cable is pretty long.
