I have an old LG KE500 that I bought from Tesco a few years ago. I now have a Sony Ericsson W350i. I bought the new Sony Ericsson because my LG wasn't working all of a sudden. I left it charging, went to work, and then when I came back, it was off. I turned it on, and it displayed the usual LG logo. The keypad lights came on and then, after a few seconds, it restarted in a split second, and the LG logo came up again. It's been like that for a while now. I tried a bit of DIY on it the other day, but to no avail. There is hope, though, as I was removing and reinserting the battery, and after a few tries, the desktop flashed up for a split second, and then it turned off. I can plug it in, and it says charging, like it would normally. If I leave the plug in, and remove the battery, it still says charging, which is unusual. It turns off after a few seconds, though.
Could it have been a power surge / power cut during when I left the charger/ AC adapter on all day? Should I buy a replacement battery?
Thanks in advance,
