CardBus Adaptor
I recently brought an external DVD burner for $10.00 when I got back home, (it worked great) but found a CardBus Adaptor in the box (with the DVD), for a Laptop, it says - 1394 @USB 2.0 as I don’t have a laptop but my daughter does, does this device need a driver?

I have searched over the net and some say you do, some say you don’t need a driver, and then those that say there is a driver you can down load it is asking me to down load driver detective, which there is no point in doing while I am not on the Lap top.

Because I am not able to try it in the lap top till I see my daughter next week, to see if it shows as needing a driver till then I won’t know, does anyone just off the top of their head remember if this adapter does need a driver, (no brand name on the adapter is showing)

If it does need a driver a link where i can get a driver would be great

Nope, it should be a PnP, just stick it in the PCMCIA slot.
