Cheapest Possible Laptop/Desktop?
What do you think the cheapest Laptop/Desktop that, with today's technology, could be made?

I've heard India tried to make a 500rupy (about £7 or $10) laptop, called the 'Sakshat', but it didn't work out quite how they had hoped, not sure how it ended though.

See if you can make the cheapest build, I mean, this is a computer that only needs to be powerful enough to run a low intensive Linux distro, and maybe surf the web, but I won't push it.

Give it ago, cheapest possible PC?

The Mission Statement of LaptopOrg is slightly different:
"Mission Statement: To create educational opportunities for the world's poorest children by providing each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-power, connected laptop with content and software designed for collaborative, joyful, self-empowered learning. When children have access to this type of tool they get engaged in their own education."
