Got a graphic card but ?
I had a Radeon ati card that fit into the grey slot in my computer.

SO for the sims3 i needed a graphic card with pixel shader 2.0,so i ordered a ATI radeon 9500 graphic card and found out that i couldnt put it in the slot the other one was in because the pronges or hooks at the bottom where different.Next to the grey slot i saw a brown one where something could go in and i put my new graphic card into that it seemed to fit then when i turned my computer on it made a beeping noise and my monitor screen was a black screen with blue writing and said that the cable wasnt plugged into my ATI RADEON 9500 graphic card.Well i figured that i put it into that slot didnt do anthing becaues it recognized the graphi card.
I did hook my monitor to the blue video cable monitor jack in the back and screwed in the things and below it is a white slot that looks kind of like it just its longer as if some other cable COULD go in there.

Am i missing a cable for it to work,or what am i doing wrong.
I have a COMPAQ PRESARIO SR1500NX,also i tried to upgrade RAM to 2 GB put the ram cards into their slots and expected my omputer to run super fast when i turned it on instead it seemed the same and i even got a error message saying something about memory reference, and wen i clicked shutdown it didnt do anything so i pressed and held the button.

Again...

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!?

I know how i wrote it sounds like 3grader ish but i figure to a tech person if i explain step by step the best i can mabe he/she will know what im talking about.

Please help...
Thanks.
