Help Buying new Speakers
Hey guys I wasnt sure where to post this so I'll try here. I'm looking to buy new speakers for my computer, and I mean like speakers for playing music. I figured I'd get them for my computer as opposed to my TV since I use my computer more. If you guys could give me any good suggestions or any sites that have good reviews I'd love it. For price I'm lookin at lower than $200 preferably.

Thanks in advance

Hi Shadow Kolezar,

I know the more you can afford, the better the sound. I use Labtec Pulse 485 with 2 subwoofers and a separate bass speaker. The sound is really good but not sure if this is available in the States? However, checking the price you quoted, mine is far cheaper!! lol

Your asking to get ripped of with computer speakers

they all suck for their price and size and ability's as powered system for playing clean music loud ,sucks to much for my taste. They think because it's for a computer they can charge a million bucks for junk.

Probably the best thing you can do with that 200$ is find a used powered woofer 10'' 12'' with a decent powered amp.

For 200$ at a pawn with 30 day warranty or craigslist you can find a powered woofer that will blow away computer woofers in sound quality and loudness for the price. The woofer is the power the rest is a no brainer and cheap.

And remember it's always better to pick you own components because these ''brands'' like to use false advertisement like calling a woofer a subwoofer when it cant hit any where near 30Hz

The best I ever listened to was Made by Klipsch and was also thx certed. I had to shut them down while repairing cust's. tower because every error 98se made a sound and I almost wet myself 3-4 times before I got smart and muted them. Don't recall the price, but my bookshelf-size Klipschs were $350.00 each and the efficiency is off the scale even using low-output amp. (My sony theater amp really hammers.)

Actually (In U.S.A. @least.), it is illegal to make false claims in advertising AND to be considered a true 'subwoofer' they need to respond from 150 Hz all the way down to 20 Hz (In professional environments even lower.), in order to even be classed as such. To be accurate, under lab conditions, we, as humans, may hear down to 12 Hz max. BUT we detect (read as 'Feel') from 4 Hz to around 16 Hz under average day to day conditions.
