I have an ASUS G2S gaming laptop

Serial number: <removed by moderator>

I got it second hand but the back-light inverter has gone on it.

It's a double light inverter and they're really hard to get hold of.

I'm curious to see if it's still in warranty before I pay for a repair

Thanks

probably the best way would be to contact ASUS
http://support.asus.com/repair/repai...Language=en-us
They would almost certainly have an algorithm that would work out the date of manufacturer - I know compaq did.....

Also best to never post a Serial number because that number is only for the one person and you never want someone else having it if it can be used without proof.

Model number you can post because many have the same model.

Most manufacturers have a section on their support sites where you can plug in a serial number and get warranty status. Many laptop support sites also allow you to plug in the serial so it can show you all the proper manuals, drivers, and support software for your unit.
