Question about 66 blocks and cat5 cabling
I am wanting to hook up an existing 66 block that has been hosting a legacy phone system with some cat5 cabling to new phones that require new wiring. I was wondering if this is workable if I were to put the pairs on the same line for each of the existing designations, or should I use a wirenuts and run one line for each one. The idea is to connect all the lines together so that each phone can pick up phone calls to the main distribution line, but each one to be programmed with their existing extension number. The phones are AT&t 1014 phones, and the other system was a Meridian phone system. The existing phone system works, but I want to upgrade the phones for them. Any suggestions?

My question exactly, that sure comes from left field! I suggest you ignore any suggestions coming from that direction, I doubt they're going to be useful.

personaly I would run a seperate cat 5 cable for each phone taking care not to kink or stretch the cable tight.
do you have the installation instructions for the phones?? if not here is some more info that you might be able to use
