Solved: 16 GB Flash Drive
Hi Friends,

I need your Help and Assistant Now. Infact, I had bought a pen drive sometime back with 16 GB Space and had not used it for sometime. However, now when I try to use the Pen Drive - The Windows will show a Screen indication - " Windows was unable to Complete the format ".

Could this be that the Pen Drive is defective or is it damaged that Windows is unable to format the flash Drive. Or is there any way that I could get this Working, since I can't lose it. It has 16Gb of space.

Your Help to get this Working will be highly Appreciated.

Thanks

Try formatting it in Disk Management.

Did you buy it on Ebay? Be warned that a lot of flash drives on there are fake sizes.

A Fake usb flash drive, is a memory pen stick that has been digitally altered – reprogrammed to lie to an operating system about the real size of it’s flash nand storage chip. Once you exceed true capacity of the chip, you begin to loose files. People do not suspect the real reason, thinking it an error in the data transfer. Only when it happens again and again do they suspect there is something more… How can you find out if you have a fake usb flash drive?

You can try using the software here: http://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/20...erfeit-drives/
to check on your drive, there is a lot of information on that site, maybe that will help you.

16 Gb Flash Drive
Hi Friends,

Yes .... Thanks for all your Response. However, I did not purchase this Flash Drive from E-bay.

Meantime, I did try to Format the pen drive thru Disk Managment and still get the Same Error. Does this mean that the Pen is Defective. Is there any other way that I could try to retreive or get this pen in working condition.

Appreciate your Immense Help. Thanks Again.
