Is there an external battery device that will allow me to plug it into my cell phone and proceed to use the phone, right away...in other words, to talk off the juice in the battery, not just use the battery to recharge the empty battery in the cell?
Thanks for your help, in advance!

I need to be able to plug something portable into the phone to allow me to use it immediately, not to wait till it recharges. I already have a charger that plugs into my car battery. But, I can't talk on the phone right away with that, I need to wait till it recharges.
Today, I was waiting for a call from a repair man, he said he might be able to come to my house later, and I had to know whether to hurry home, but I couldn't use my empty cell phone, even though I have the car charger. I want something that works off either solar or batteries to allow me to talk directly. The device would power the phone, not just recharge it.

I have two different phones that do the same thing, a Motorola RAZR v3 and the LG CU-515, both work just fine as soon as they on the charger.

Anyway, I need a charger to connect that is portable, not in a house or needing the car battery. If I go into a store, I'm waiting for a call, the phone has not recharged enough on the short trip to the store, that's when I need a charger that will allow me to talk. Thank you for taking the time to think about this for me.

If these aren't going to do it, I think you're out of luck, since I can't imagine what you're looking for. | | Senior Member with 306 posts. | | Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: florida Experience: Intermediate | | hello
by the time you buy any gadgets. you could probably by a new extended life battery & battery back for your phone. iv'e bought them on ebay for as little as $5.00 + shipping
also like john every phone iv'e ever owned allowed you to charge & talk at the same time.
whats the make & model of your phone ??

They're really small, and it solves this problem for peanuts. | | Senior Member with 294 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2001 Location: NYC |

#10 | That's a great idea. I will buy a new extended life battery and battery pack. Believe it or not, I never heard of that till you posted it!
Bringing a second charged battery is also an option. I just never have thought of taking a battery out of my phone, I feared the phone would lose its memory, that I would need to program it all over again. I feel so dumb, I do all kinds of feats with my computers and laptops, and here I am allowing myself to hang around in ignorance about my simple little phone, LOL.

#11 | Just power down the phone, then take the battery out and swap it, nothing is lost. All of the data is in FLASH. | |
