Solved: laptop to tv plus sound
hello
This is the tv i have.
http://salestores.com/esapdp42.html
And this is my laptop.
http://www.notebook-driver.com/lapto...pecifications/
.
I can hook it up via HDMI cable but i can't get no sound.
(according to specs the tv dont have HDMI input. but theres a plug on the tv where cable fits and shows video just no audio).
Could someone point me in the right direction. PLEASE & THANK YOU in advance.

Not sure why your HDMI isn't working, but I'd tend to use a standard VGA graphics cable (as used on desktop PCs) for the video and then a separate cable for the sound; usually a 3.5mm pin to 3.5mm pin to connect the headphone socket on your soundcard to the back of the TV. (I did notice that your laptop supports SPDIF out and this might be worth investigating if you have a surround sound amplifier etc.).

It's quite possible that the HDMI interface on that laptop doesn't actually support sound, you may have to cable that separately.

in the specs for the tv. it don't show that it supports HDMI at all.
it shows DVI in with L & R audio,S video in with L & R audio & PC in with L & R audio.
thanks
3.5mm pin to audio L & R ?? do they make such a thing ?
