Recently, I have had several issues with my console. As I start it up, it makes a "vreeet veerrrt" and another sound before it gets to the dashboard. Also, it has started it make a single beep during startup. During games, the drive may make a weird noise like a car not idling smoothly in addition to the normal whirring of the console. I'm a little worried as I have about 10 days left on the warranty and would like to resolve this before the warranty runs out.

So my questions are:
Are these noises normal operating noises?
Should I return the console or is it more likely to end up broken if I send it in?
Can you buy an extended warranty from Microsoft if your original one has expired? If so, how?
