Unhappy Dvd player and RFmodulator
Hello,
I have a Panasonic TV/VCR combo with the RCA jacks. I hooked up the Coby D-233 DVD player and I keep getting light to dark pictures on some of my DVDs. Some work just fine. I purchased an RF modulator and the problem persists. I should mention here that I do not have cable or anything else hooked up to this TV, just the DVD player. Am I missing something? Please help!

Sounds like Macrovision protection to me. The unit that you're playing the DVD through has the ability to record the DVD onto VCR which is not permitted by the recording industry. To prevent unauthorised copying a signal is embedded in the DVD which interferes with recording devices generally giving a fading in and out of colour and poor quality picture. The DVDs that work probably don't have this protection on them.
